Bob Saurer Memorial Ride

Bob Saurer Memorial Ride

Saturday, August 16, 2014

The ride starts in Princeton and goes to Phillipsburg and back. Approx. 40-45 miles.

Ride leaves the parking area at 10:00am. See directions below.

This is an intermediate ride based mainly on the fact that there are some creek crossing that have some short but steeper rocky sections entering and leaving the creek. This ride is a mix of trail and road.

This ride is ok for side by side machines of all types.

We will stop for a break after the 6th creek crossing.
We will stop in Pburg for lunch at the Sunshine Station or you can bring your own lunch. There are possibilities that we may ride by the mines above Pburg or head straight back to Princeton.

Fuel is also available in Pburg if you need it.

Dave Hurley, a good friend of Bob’s will lead the ride.

Ride Parking Directions.
Take I90 East for about 48 miles to Drummond.
Take exit 153 at Drummond.
Turn right on Hwy 1 and go south about 15 miles to Maxville on the left.
Take a left at Maxville and follow the main gravel road about 6 slow miles to Princeton.
A mile or so in, stay left on the main road and don’t take Wyman to the right.
There should be a fairly large parking area before the road crosses Boulder creek.
These are general mileages based on memory.

There is overnight camping available at the parking area.

You can call me if you have any questions regarding this ride.
